After Christmas we travelled to beautiful Bargara Beach near Bundaberg to stay at Gab's house while she had to work on Boxing Day :-(
Stella got to spend 2 more nights with Gabs, Papa Doc and Nanny and we swam in the clean cool waters off Bargara.
Another early morning start saw us hit the road; destination Brisbane for a few nights in Glenn and Dan's house at North Lakes before heading over to Dan and Chaunni's for New Years.
We caught up with cousins Seccos and Sextons on the Sunday night at the Mango Hill Tavern. It was great to catch up with old friends and meet the new generations!
Tuesday before New Years Zane went to the Brisbane Roar with Ty and the Lion's Den Fanatics. The Roar soccer fans definitely know how to party, we met them on the street leading into the stadium and joined the drumming, marching and chanting.
On New Years Eve we packed up again and relocated to Morningside with Dan and Chaunnie for the last day of the year. Around 6pm we boarded a Ferry for a nice boat ride to Southbank to join 50 000 others in the New Years fireworks. The return Ferry ride was beautiful, the Story Bridge was lit up and so too were the high rises and buildings on either side of the Brisbane river as we happily motored our way home with sleepy kids. A great end to 2014.
